Chai is a popular beverage that can be found in many homes. It’s not just the sugar and milk that are used to make this drink, but also the spices. Every culture has its own way of making chai. Some use ginger, cardamom, or cinnamon to spice up the flavor. But there is one combination that makes for a delicious cup of tea - black pepper and clove. Black pepper is readily available in every kitchen and is known to be the “King of Spices”. Black pepper along with clove makes a cup of chai an altogether different drink with an improved health quotient too.
Clove is an excellent spice for those who suffer from cold and flu, as it has antiseptic properties. Black pepper not only helps to improve the digestive system but also helps relieve muscle cramps and headaches.
